“When I intern I am more than me. I am one of twelve impactful people that want to make a change. I want to make a difference and my experience interning has given me the chance to see that I can.” – Bridget
Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer intern for the annual NCADA Prevention Leadership Conference!
The Prevention Leadership Conference is a very active, participatory event and an excellent opportunity to receive additional training in youth leadership, facilitation skills, and drug prevention programming.
As a PLC student intern, you will be involved in much of the planning and creativity that make the conference a successful and AWESOME event. In the weeks leading up to the conference you’ll work with the intern team and alongside PLC staff members to organize and refine final conference preparations. During the conference itself, you are the glue that holds it all together — having fun, keeping the energy up and helping to ensure an amazing conference experience for each participant!
Youth who have previously attended the Prevention Leadership Conference and who are finishing grades 8-12 may apply to serve as Interns during the conference. It’s a wonderful opportunity for leadership, community service and fun!
To apply to be a Conference intern, complete the Intern application. All application forms must be returned by May 19, 2017.
- Students entering high school through college are eligible to be interns.
- Interns must have attended at least one previous Conference.
- Selected interns must be available for the required training days and all days of the Conference.
- Complete all parts of the application and answer questions thoughtfully.
